Enjoying What You Have
To have it all you must be able to see the joy in what you already have. The first and foremost 'thing' that you have
is YOU! If you do not enjoy You and who you are, it will be difficult to enjoy anything or anyone else. When you
enjoy Yourself, your True Self, there will be little else that you will not enjoy. You will see the exhilarating
'lightness' and the nourishing 'darkness' within, everyone and everyone and everything you encounter. The following exercise is short yet powerful. Use it whenever it comes to mind. Use it in the morning, when you
are feeding your children lunch, or even when you are at a "power" meeting. It takes only a moment, because a
moment is only what it takes to embrace the Truly Enjoyable You.EXERCISE
1)For a moment step back (in your mind) from your activities and from any point in the room or space
where you are, look at your self, your activities and your surroundings as if you were watching a movie.2) a) Watch the actions that your body is making and notice the energy of your emotions. b) Notice the
cooperative efforts you are making with these people and the things around you. c) Notice how you and
your actions are intrinsically tied to your environment.3) Slowly enter back into your 'normal' awareness (the view you see with your physical eyes), and
recall the 'other' more detached view you just witnessed.4) Last, realize the joy in even the smallest of your actions.
Notice how you inhabit your body and move your hands and eyes. See the dance that you choose to
dance every day of your life and in every motion. Find the beauty in the forms that you direct and the
people with whom you interact.
